More Trails, Mostly Aspen Vista

Fall arrived and we made it up to Aspen Vista, which was spectacular.  (Lucy not featured because she did it the same day with friends)

 And we took Clara on a hike that was long, with no snacks, and not as pretty as some other hikes.

Rob had to fly out on my birthday to head to DC for a conference.  Getting there was not good as there were delays and cancellations.  He made it in time to walk into his conference just on time.  He also got to spend time with D&C (see what I did there?).  They fed him well, he also did some sight seeing, and hiking with Court.  

Shannon Came To Visit!!!!

Shannon, my bff from Reno, came to visit for my birthday.  I was so glad.  Man I miss her.  Good think we walk and talk every week still.  Anyway, we woke up on Sunday and did a birthday hike.  We went straight up the mountain.  No trail, well not really.  It was steep.  But so pretty.  Two kids had too much homework to join in, but the rest of us had fun. 

 After the hike we headed to Horseman Haven for some deliciously spicy lunch. Then home for birthday cake before Rob had to take off to DC for a conference. He made me a delicious cake, because he is pretty much the best. 

 We took Shannon down to the Plaza and cathedral and took only one pic. Candles.  

 On Monday Shannon and I hiked Sun Mountain.  We had done it before, only this time she was here in person.  

 The next day we headed up to Pecos.  So pretty. 

So glad she could come and we could solve all the problems of the world while hiking.  We are good that way.
