Cousin Camp Prep

Rob and boys arrived in town and we got dinner at Cubby's (the boys went climbing with Madi and her boyfriend).  And it was time to buckle down and prep for our Harry Potter cousin's camp.  HOURS and HOURS of prep happened, mostly on the front porch.  It was seriously so much work, but it was also so much fun to have hours and hours of chatting on the porch while we worked.  We made wands, fudge boxes, letters of acceptance, clues, chalices, candles, and more.  So much work.  Did I mention that?

These wands were super fun to make.  I loved making them.  A fun creative effort and I'm not crafty at all, but this was good fun.

These candles were for the Great Hall feast in Em's backyard
We had to make horcruxes as well.  So much spray painting.

A haircut happened between prep

The Hogwarts invitations were delivered to the kids with much excitement.

Girls Roadtrip Final Stop: Provo

Clara and I made it to Provo.  We had a few days without the boys, who were adventuring in Southern Utah.  The Youngs were in town and the summer fun was in full swing.  Rec center, canal walks, and hours of cousin fun.

Girl's Roadtrip: Reno

Clara and I had a grand pit stop in Reno.  We stayed with Diane and while Clara played over at Abby's house, Diane and I hiked up on Upper Thomas Creek, which was GUSHING.
Pho for lunch!!!
And then an afternoon/evening at Tahoe with friends.  Just like old times.  In the evening I met up with Haley and Danny at yogurt beach; just like old times.

Reno skies are the BEST!

On Sunday, Diane, Wendy, Clara and I hiked the Rubicon trail from D.L. Bliss.  Stunning.

Clara and I went to see Wendy's new yard, and stopped again at Pho for dinner and then a quick yogurt beach stop.
It was SO MUCH FUN to be back in Reno.  Feels like home.
