Thanksgiving is delicious! So much work, but oh how delicious.
Clara went to a friends house and made the centerpiece. Fancy.
We cleaned the dishes and kitchen in record time. We all pitched in and it felt like a Thanksgiving miracle.
We headed to Violet Crown cinema to watch Fantastic Beasts. Good Fun.
After the movie the cream was whipped and we had room to eat dessert
Rob had to work the next day and the rest of us headed up to Valles Caldera
When we got to the parking lot someone was selling fresh cut Christmas trees for cheap. So we went ahead and got a couple. I am so happy to have capable children. Sometimes I'm not very capable, but the boys knew what knots to tie and secured them to the van before we headed for a walk.
That evening was the tree lighting at the Plaza. Lucy went with friends, Grammy stayed home, but the rest of us ventured out. It was very festive and Clara and I enjoyed some dancing on the plaza.
In Santa Fe these are not luminarias. They are faralijtos and you can't call them the wrong thing or you will feel like a fool.
On Saturday, once again Rob was working, but we all headed to ABQ. We met up with one of my Dad's former design students who has a big design firm. We toured that and then they took us to lunch. After that we stopped at Costco and then we did a Breaking Bad tour that was interest to only me and my Dad. Next time we will go without the others. The two of us were really into it, because BB is such an awesome show.
Walt's house which has gotten a face lift. There were other people on the BB pilgrimige tour. Kind of funny.
The carwash
Jesse and Jane's place
Jesse's house.
We finished off our day with a stop at ABQ Uptown for some big city shopping.
The next morning we woke up and our guests had vanished. Apparently my Dad had checked the weather early in the morning and had discovered that they had a good window before the snow came if they took off on Sunday. And so that wraps up Thanksgiving.
