Etcetera of March.

We had many cake orders in March and it was fun, but stressful. Chantilly cake was new to us so we made a practice one.  Yum. 

Clara used French tips to frost these cupcakes for her class for her birthday.

Made this mocha cake for book club.  Super super good. 

Clara went to a birthday sleepover party and had much fun.

This one was ok, not amazing.  I think it was supposed to be chocolate caramel.

My attempt at swiss meringue buttercream.  It's tastier but doesn't look as good after a day.

Attempted to make strawberry cake and tried several recipes.  All failed.

The freeze dried strawberries had browned so it wasn't very appetizing to look at. 

So I guess the theme was cake!

Boys Spring Break

Whilst we were galavanting around the East the boys were galavanting around the West.  They did a college tour hitting Vancouver, Portland, Bozeman and Missoula.  They got to climb in Squamish, eat sushi, visit Multnomah  Falls, and more.  I think college visits get kinda old, but it was a succesful trip. 

Girl's Spring Break: Part 7

We had a half day before we had to fly home.  We began at the Supreme Court which I did not know you could go in.  While we were there the court was hearing the Curtis Flower case (still waiting for the decision....my hopes are low).   Lucy met us at the Library of Congress.  Then it was a quick walk through the botanic garden, then past the Capitol, and onto a delicious lunch.  Saying goodbye to Lucy was pretty rough.  We had such a great time and I am so glad we went.  Thanks to the Homers for hosting!!!!
