Cousins Visit Part 1

Emily plus her 2 youngers, and Maren's 3 came for a visit the day after school got out.  It was grand.  Day 1 was an attempted hike to the Mt. Rose Waterfall.  It was snowed over so we took a detour above the snow and enjoyed the view. After we attempted Tahoe Meadows but it was FREEZNG.

Anders got his belated birthday present:  sweet ride.

Day 2 was Tahoe.  A bit chilly, but still mahhhhvelous.  It also happened to be Rob's birthday so we celebrated with Brazillian and a cake that turned out ugly, but tasted good anyway.  As Max said, it has a sweet spirit. 

Wrapping up the School Year

A few odds and ends from the end of the school year.

#hairfail or #hairwin   Totally depends on your definition.  He wore it to school on the last day.

Speaking of New Mexico it is with great pride I report that I finally finished Breaking Bad.  Holy crud, what a show.  I guess Universal Health Care would have helped out in this case:

Clara participated in the school talent show.  She played You Are My Sunshine on the ukelele. She is awesome.  

Lucy worked long long long and hard hard hard on her Chataqua research project.  Hours of research and writing and memorizing.  If you need to know anything about the life of Queen Elizabeth II Lucy's your girl:

Tucker finished middle school with honors.  Well done.

Anders got top honors, meaning he was the very highest student in 7th grade science, and they spelled his name wrong, grrr. 

A couple friends and I managed a day at the lake before school got out. Oh, man, I don't know if I can leave this place.  The friends, the lake...(sob). 

Boys had their last orchestra concert.  They sounded great. 

Another trip to #$@%*& Santa Fe

Oh how we will miss our daily walks to this awesome school (sob).
