Kenwood, Hampstead Heath, British Library, Covent Garden, National Gallery, and a show. Whew

Another day.  We roused the troops, got ready, and headed to the bus stop to meet the Montezes.

Do you know how nice it is to have someone know exactly what bus to catch, and where to transfer, and how to get everywhere?  Well, in case you don't, it's pretty awesome.  So anyway, we took the bus up to Kenwood House.  It was a long ride because of construction traffic.
Kenwood House is a gem and has a killer art collection.

Had to get the traditional shot

The grounds and gardens are beautiful.  Why do flowers grow so easily there?  So jealous.

We caught a bus so we could walk over the heath and to the village of Hampstead via Highgate Cemetary.

We took the tube to St. Pancras/Kings Cross.  We stopped briefly at the ridiculously crowded platform 9 3/4 (was really glad we went to Harry Potter Studio) and then walked around the corner to the British Library.

The British Library was a fav of mine.  That's Austen's writing desk.  And those books are Dickens, Austen, Bronte, and more.  Wow.

Next we did a brief visit of Covent Garden

We headed next to the National Gallery.  I sure love that place.

We met back up on Trafalgar Square and had plenty of snacks to refresh us. We ate at the nearby Wagamama after that.

After dinner we walked to the theatre where we saw Phantom of the Opera in all it's 1980's greatness.  So nostalgic and fun even though our seats were TERRIBLE.

At the end of the day, when you wear slippers, this is what your feet look like:
Another fantastic, packed to the gills, day.
