Father's Day Ice Cream Cake

Rob got an ice cream cake pan for his birthday and so for Father's Day he made this for us (I know, I know, that isn't how it is supposed to work).   It was unreal...although slightly messy.

Chimney Beach

Last Saturday we went up to Tahoe with some friends.  They took us to a great new beach, called Chimney Beach.  It was fun, even though the water is icy icy cold.  The best part was probably the amazing tacos we ate after at one of our friend's favorite places in Incline.  Fun afternoon!

Lucy's Summer Camp for Kids

Lucy and two of her friends decided to earn some money this summer by putting on a summer camp.  They will do three sessions and a couple of weeks ago was their first.  They switched off doing it at each home.  Day one was at our house.  The theme was Going On A Bear Hunt.  These girls learned quickly that it was much harder than they thought it would be to keep a group of 12 kids entertained, but they did a great job.  One of my favorite things about the girls is how they are enjoying some of the activities as much as the little kids.  Those tweens still have a foot in childhood for sure.  These girls are making some serious money.  Why didn't I think of this when I was her age?  Oh and another plus: it is going to count towards Personal Progress (which is much much more rigorous than when I went through the YW program).

Soccer Camp

A couple of weeks ago Clara, Tucker, and Anders went to soccer camp.  They did it with some friends and everyone loved it.  It's the Challenger British Soccer Camp program and the coaches are so great.  It was a great week.
