The week after Christmas Rob had to work but we didn't feel much like sticking around. We had a quick trip to Utah. Left Monday home on Friday (due to weather forecasts). So glad we went. The Youngs and Colvers were around and we had a great time with everyone.
Its pretty fun that we drive through Moab on our way to Provo. Always lovely.
We spent a morning at Rock Canyon Park on sleds.
Evelyn hit the age where she is a ton of fun and less shy and we all enjoyed some Evey time.
There was a lovely mini-Boynton reunion at LaCasita.
Maren and I had a terrif breakfast with some of our favorite people.
Youngs and kids went rock climbing at the Quarry.
Snaps.
We finally got to try Chom.
The church gym was utilized for drone flying and cousin's soccer, with the occasional pause when Evey got her game on.
We saw LaLa Land. I wanted to LOVE it but I only liked it, and hated the stupid ending.
Our final dinner out was Bombay house with the very very fun treat of running into Jenny Peterson who was on Study Abroad with us when I was in 8th grade and who was one of the students who took me under their wing, and whom I adored.
On our drive home we took a pit stop at Arches. Hooray. It was short, but fun. We just did a quick loop at The Windows with a tourist bus full of tourrii from China who were trampling the cryptobiotic soil. GRRRR.

It was nice to get out of Dodge!
