A big event was Anders getting his braces off. Before and After.
On the last day of school Clara got out early and went to lunch with a friend. Then her friend's mom took the girls to her studio and let them paint. I got to go pick Clara up and see SooJin's work. Good fun.
Speaking of painting Rob got out his paints again.
Rob had to work until 10 but the kids and I headed down to ABQ to go to dinner, do a little shopping in the "big" city and to pick up Dustin and Court from the airport. The best was Tucker hanging out the window shouting down Courtney.
The next morning we introduced them to New Mexico hatch chili at Horseman's Cafe. HOT. No really it's spicy. And Dustin partook of it straight. Burns.
After our spicy breakfast we headed to Pecos Pueblo which was extra dramatic with a dusting of snow and lovely clouds.
We drove up Pecos canyon a bit. It was lovely.
Rob's work party was that night so Rob and I headed out. The kids introduced D&C to El Parasol tacos and they played games and made dessert. When Court comes to town there is dessert.
Even more dessert. Gingerbread and fudge.
On Monday we headed up to the Jemez and took them to Valles Caldera.
Then it was off to Bandalier. It warmed up and was a lovely day.
Near dusk we squeezed a hike at Tsankawi in. Such a pretty place.
Dinner was green chili cheeseburgers at Harry's Roadhouse.
The memorable tragedy of their visit was the heat went out. And didn't start working until after they left and after we paid a large fortune to fix it. Yikes. It was dang cold.
So fun to the the Homers visit.

So fun! I wish we'd been there, too. Oh, except for the heater-less part. Lucy by the heater - ha! That must have been painful.
So, so fun! You were, per usual, fantastic hosts. Thanks for showing us the SF highlights and feeding us so well. Wish we could have stayed longer, but looking forward to our next visit.
Pecos looks wonderful. There is still lots we haven't seen.
And I should have said that I LOVE Rob's new painting.
Ditto -- glad to see Rob's painting again! All looks good. Looking forward to my visit!
