This and That Post

Anders made Clara a pig in ceramics.
 Clara made these cute bookmarks
A little time at the dentist.  Blackmail photo?
 Spring trees are beautiful
Clara and her friend Lauren had a joint birthday party.  Pizza and Beauty and the Beast

Tucker researched and purchased his own climbing gear.
We miss Q-doba queso something fierce (well some of us anyway) so google provided and we whipped some up.  Mmmmm.
My good friend Wendy came to visit.  It was very fun to see her, but the homesickness is real.

She bravely carried her one year old down this precipice
Clara had a late night with Izzy
NM has taught us that chili peppers make everything better.  Everything.
 Dandelion Queen.
Lucy captured a very hilarious moment via snapchat.
 Clara continues to battle clutter.
A fun "team" for girl scouts.

Tucker's hair got out of hand.  I attempted to cut it.  Very bad idea.  Super Cuts saved the day.  Sorry T.

Lucy painted this cool watercolor of Bodie in CA

Hovenweep

The final stop of our Spring Break was Hovenweep.  A lovely spot.  After that we drove home via 4 Corners where we refused to pay the $5.00 a head fee to stand in the wrong place and take a picture.  Then it was back to Santa Fe.  Bummer.

Needles Section, Canyonlands

One of my very very very favorite places on Earth has to be the Needles section of Canyonlands.  Pictures just don't even begin to capture it.  It's such a hard place to describe.  The beauty doesn't translate into pictures.  It's magical.  This time around we tried a new hike.  We hiked out to the confluence of the Green and Colorado Rivers.  It was an 11 mile hike and we didn't take enough water.  Ack!  We took our time getting out there, but we hauled going back.  The fear of running out of water kept us going at an extremely brisk pace.  Our kids are rock stars.  Not a complaint from one of them.  Clara has arrived.  Moral of the story is start 'em out young. It was such a great day.  We capped it off with a quick hike at the Cowboy Camp and a yummy dinner at one of three restaurants in Monticello.  That town is bitsy.
