We were very lucky to have a full house for Thanksgiving this year. We are so glad the Youngs and the parentals could come and join us. Our day began with a Turkey Trot 5k organized by a friend in the ward. It was a fun way to start the day. Here are the participants, minus my Dad who is the photographer.
Some of the group gathering:
Luscious and Ellie:
After there was some food and beverage and good conversation:
Cute Finn ran the whole way. I was jogging along with Denice and Amber when I came across him slowly and steadily making his way. We finished off together. The next day he was super sore, but what a trooper!
Wendy, Amber, Me, and Denice:
While we jogged Beck stayed home to play and be cute. Because that is what he does:
Next up was the prep and the play. I think the younger crew gets the better deal:
Soon dinner was almost ready. My Dad and Clara threw together a lovely centerpiece:
Best apple pie I've ever eaten, for reals. Thanks Mom:
The turkey provided much excitement:
And finally it was time to eat. Hooray!
Delicious!
And after all the feasting, digesting, napping, walking etc, we went to go see Rise of the Guardians. A fabulous Thanksgiving! Hooray!!!
