Spring Break: Arches

Monday was the perfect day.  The weather was just right for spending a day in the park.  Our first stop was the Window's section.  The kids were little mountain goats and were climbing all over the place:

Rob and Dave led an expedition of littles up a cliff into a cave.  How are they not scared to death of falling off cliffs?

Baby Eleanor may be the cutest baby on the planet and is always smiling:

Next we headed to Delicate arch along with the entire population of the world :( Oh well, it was still as amazing as ever:

 Lu and Shelby:

 In NEVER disappoints:

Boys playing near cliffs giving their mother's heart attacks:

Sophie and Clara on top of the world:

After lunch we headed to sand dune arch, always a fav with the kids:

The Hart's minus Gus who came with us, headed out of the park to the sand dune across from the entrance, and we headed with the Montez's to Landscape Arch:

Ander's recreating a moment he had here with Ollie:

After we headed out to meet up with the Hart's at the sand dune but the lighting was AMAZING and we had to stop severeal times for pictures:

We made it to this giant sand dune which is so so so fun.  And walking up it is like going to boot camp.  It was TOUGH, but worth it:

Rocco (when we first met the Montez's we went to a movie with them and the Harts.  Rob was sitting on the end and Haley asked--well sort of told, which was funny too--Rob to go get more popcorn.  Dave misheard and thought Rob's name was Rocco and was super stoked, because well, that is the coolest name ever.  Anyway, Rob is now Rocco).  So Rocco had an epic run down the hill.  Full speed, ending in a stupendous crash which was wildly entertaining and the stuff of legend:

It was a sandy joy fest:

After the sand dune we headed to dinner at a bbq place which was delicious and they were very nice about the mass number of kids.

Spring Break: Fiery Furnace

We drove to Provo on Saturday spent the night and left early Sunday for Moab because FINALLY we were able to get tickets for Fiery Furnace.  When we arrived at Arches it was a little overcast, but not too bad.  We made our way up to the Fiery Furnace and the tour began.  And the wind really really really picked up.  The combination of wind and heights and drop-offs can make for some kind of gut wrenching moments.  Anyway, inspite of the fierce blowing sand we really enjoyed the Fiery Furnace, and can't wait to explore it some more sans tour.  After the tour we checked into our hotel and waited for our friends, the Harts and the Montez to check in.  We had a fun dinner at Zax.  Lot's of kids.  Fortunately we were in UT so no one batted an eye at the 17 kids.
