It was a big week in Reno as we hosted my whole family for Thanksgiving with a prelude visit from Pod, and cameo appearances from Whit and Court.
My family started to come in on Sunday so there was so overlap in the visits:
The family continued to arrive. The day before most arrived Lucy did a photo shoot of the Youngs as she hopes to start a portraiture business. My parents were first with Madi and then the Ensigns and Colvers followed the next day. The Arizona kids enjoyed the snow. Beck helped me clean up after Bella. He found it fascinating:

Also pie prep began. Clara, Grammy, and Pop-pop were on pie duty:
Apples to Apples (one of many many rounds) was played:
Evey arrived!
Thanksgiving Eve we all headed to 5 Guys:
The next morning was naturally spent with food prep for some and games etc. for others:
The music spawned a few spontaneous performances during the prep
At last the food was ready and we all feasted:
After the feast there were more games and more napping and more visiting:
And Pie, of course:
The next day we were going to go up to Tahoe, but it was a chains required day on Mt. Rose so Lucy did portraits of the Ensigns at Callahan and then we took a delightful tromp up the trail in the snow:
Some posed at random hoping someone would photograph them:
That night we went to see Pixar's first flop, The Good Dinosaur. And then it was dinner at Bangkok Thai:
The next day everyone but Mom and Dad were left. This time the roads were clear enough for a drive to Tahoe. However, it appears, the Reno side of the mountains got the lions share of the snow. We were sad as we wanted to see what a snowy Tahoe looked like.
The following day we kicked off the Christmas Season at a Mannheim Steamroller Concert. Sounds cheesy, but it was a lot of fun.
And that is the summary of our Thanksgiving Week Extravaganza!
