Fall Break: Sausalito and Fisherman's Wharf

On Thursday we loaded ourselves into the van and headed to San Francisco.
First stop was Sausalito.  We had a tasty lunch and wandered around the town:

Next up was the beautiful Muir Woods.  Felt sacred in there.  Truly spectacular:

A quick stop at Muir beach.  Brrr, it was cold:

Then Golden Gate Bridge.  It was even chillier, but it's such a pretty structure.  Love it:

We checked into our hotel in fisherman's Wharf and then headed out for dinner.  We ate at Boudin.  Meh, but iconic, so there is that.  Then we headed to Ghiradelli for our free chocolate:

Fall Break Part 2: Around Reno

On Monday my Dad and I started the day by walking Bella, then we all went to Costco, and worked on an art project. Dinner involved Bannoffee pie and there was a lovely stroll after dinner. (By the way, photo cred. to my Dad).

A few weeks before fall break our friend's dog (who happens to be Bella's sister) had 14 puppies.  14!!!!  My poor friend.  It's like 10 times worse than having newborns.  Anyway, we started Tuesday off by visiting the puppies, then we headed up to Virginia City, and ended the night with a walk and dinner at BJ's (with awful service and no vanilla ice cream for pazookies.  What?!)

Wild horses:

Oh, yes, we hit up the garden after Virginia City:
And started our delicious roasted tomato sauce:
