I always want to know what my friends are reading and what books they loved/hated. So I have set up a blog where some friends and family can post and review books they have read recently. Its called Desperate For a Good Read. Check it out!
Absolutely brilliant dear Anna! Not that I'll be able to read anything recommended there, but it seems a very useful thing for most folks in your circle of influence.
As for people being able to post under their own names, you could do it as I did on the Forum. That requires each person to have a gmail account, and then you send them invitations, and then they log in with their own name and password.
This may limit some people unwilling to start a gmail account, but it also keeps people from posting and commenting under other folks' names, or doing such under no name.
Will you please put a link to this in your links list? I may actually have some recommendations from time to time (yes, ones that folks might actually like - I am in fact a lit student despite my inclination for philosophy, theology, history and other nonfiction genres).

What a great idea. I can't wait to see your thoughts on the books you're reading!
Very exciting! I always count you as my first go-to-girl for good book recommendations.
I am really looking forward to this new blog. Thanks Anna.
