I would love to go stroll around Kew Gardens.
I would love, love, love to eat gelato, visit Santa Croce without my Baedeker, and meander through the Duomo in Florence.
I also wouldn't mind wandering the streets of Paris, eating a delicious treat from a patisserie, and eating a baguette under the Eifel Tower.
But well instead I guess I will try and tackle these bad boys (I can't believe I am actually going to show you what a wreck my house is):

Yes, that is life.
I love seeing your messy house... because it looks just like mine! And those first pictures make my heart ache a little.
You are quite right: this is the life. It goes way too fast so enjoy it . . . all of it. The crumby parts will fade in memory and the good memories, like making salty snowflakes, or whatever those were, will linger. You are a good mom.
OXO

Amen, sister! Someday we will stroll Kew Gardens again, I'm sure of it!!
Gavin was talking about the manotany (sp?) of his job and my response was..."well at least you will retire someday, I will be doing lundry until I die!"...I hate lundry!
how come you have pictures of my house on your blog :)...it's a never ending process!
I hate laundry. It is the one thing I cannot stay on top of!
Ahhh laundry. The bain of my life. Well if you ever do the fun things I want to go too. Laundry can always be put off for something better!
Do you suppose if we played all the time, we'd get bored of it? I hope so, otherwise, what's the point of drudgery?
