it didn't get much better than driving to Payson to visit the cousins on a Sunday. We played the most creative and fun games with the Taylor cousins thanks in large part to cousin Willie. Some favorites include running the mountainside behind the cabin pretending we were on those motorcycle thingies from Star Wars (the one with the Ewoks). We also had a great game where we created a magical world beyond the meadow across from the cabin where we all had special powers and names. I believe I was Owest and my power was I could put bubble shields on us to protect us. We had some good times. I remember one time we hiked all day and made sure we covered ourselves with dirt and Will brought his stage make-up kit to accentuate the look with fake blood and we scared Grandma Lynn to pieces. Another fun thing that happened was Will came up with the idea of forming an exclusive club, called the Taylor Tigers. (I meant to snag the history written by Will from the TTT flag that hangs in my parents basement and post it as a birthday tribute but forgot...perhaps Dickie you could?) The Taylor Tiger organization was one where we vowed to mostly be exclusive, but also feel a great ownership for the cabin and the areas surrounding it. This required us to hold elections, and somehow, Will was able to arrange it so that if we voted for each other as Pres and V.P. respectively, we could win the vote. It worked. I was the first puppet president of the Taylor Tiger club. It was an honor to serve with you Will. I could go on and on and on about all the fun creative games we played because of Will's imagination. I also remember him teaching me the Grateful Dead "Sugar Magnolia" while hiking to Stewart Falls (he was barefoot, I believe). I also appreciate the invention, or rather the formal naming, of Dickie Days by you and Steve.
Anyway, Will, thanks for the inspiration then and now! You are one smart person and I admire and respect your knowledge/opinions. Happy Birthday!

Oh yes those were good times! Do you remember the kicking off of the Sunday Shoes through the window? Happy birthday again Will!
I loved my time as a Taylor Tiger even though there were no princesses (happily that has been fixed). What a great child hood we all had due in a large part to great cousins! Happy Birthday Willie!
Could everyone please post their special names and their super powers? I found that to be quite fascinating and wonderful! I sure do love cousin will and loved when he would safrifice me to the swamp cooler. I always felt like that meant something... like it was really going to appease the summer gods. Happy Birthday Will! I love you!
What good memories. Per Katy's request, I was Limb...at least in one of the versions of that game. And I was amazingly acrobatic, which thus enhanced both my fight and flight techniques. Part of me thinks there was another power I had...Phill and I were kind of a team...someone could see the future...enemies coming etc. Is this all from the same game? Please help.
I was Elim. I am not sure but I think my power had something to do with the trees. Steve was always the beast master.
And I was the cousin who thought she was big enough to play but who actually was not!
Thanks Anna. That is all really nice of you.
We did have some great times up at the cabin and in your basement (the place where my love for Masonic ritual developed without me knowing it). My name at Brickerhaven was Wint. I don't remember what my power(s) was (were). I'm guessing it had something to do with getting to come up with all of the powers and changing mine as often as it seemed necessary. Wow, I guess I've always been a bit of a control freak, non?
It's all been a lot of fun, and we've still got some adventures ahead. Let me tell you about straw bales....
Okay, Anna, the TTT stuff is posted on my blog now.
You were lucky to have such a creative cousin (Will) to make up for the lack of fun that your parents were supposed to provide, but, alas, did not.
