Remote Control Woes

Our VCR remote (yes we still have a VCR, don't laugh....) was missing.  For several days.  And I searched and searched for it.  And it bugged because it is usually the kids who lose it.  And I hate to have to get up to change the channel. Plus it just really bugs when things go missing, things that belong in a set (legos, puzzle pieces, doll shoes, socks, remotes, etc.) And I kept asking the kids to look for it.  And they "did" (say did in a whiny helpless voice and you will get the jist of it), but they just couldn't find it.  So yesterday I called a meeting and announced a $2.00 reward for anyone who could find the remote.  Two minutes later Anders came up with the remote in hand.  Anders?  That kid can't find his own shoes when they are on his feet.

Ha! That is hilarious. Yes we are still using our VCR to record although I think TIVo is in the near future. And yes I HATE losing things to toy sets and shoes, etc. In fact - I can't find a netflix copy of kit kittredge (sp?). $20 to replace. Maybe I will offer a reward and the kids may start a decent search.

All you need is a little incentive. It works every time.

glad you found the remote, even though you're two dollars poorer!

I was laughing out loud. So funny. I love offering money to find stuff. You are too funny. Thank you so much for having a blog so that I can crack up at other peoples lives and just not my own all the time. You are a good friend.

Video cassettes are more kid friendly in my opinion. No scratches.
