Arches over the vales of the free,
Where the pure breezes blow and the clear streamlets flow,
How I’ve longed to your bosom to flee!
O Zion! dear Zion!
We had a great day in Zion on Friday. We took the shuttle up to Weeping Rock and hiked up, up, up to Hidden Canyon. I attempted this hike when Rob and I were newlyweds, but having inherited my Dad's fear of heights and didn't make it. This time I did. It was a bit scary with kids, and I wish I had gotten pictures at the end of the trail but I was clinging to the chain with both hands. In the end it wasn't too bad, but I won't be attempting Angel's Landing. Ever.

just looking at it:

You can see the crazy trail on the right of the pic, with the chain.
Kind of scary to watch the kids. I opted not to, it made it much easier:

What a wonderful outing!
Ah! This reminds me so much of my childhood! And Anna, you really MUST do Angels Landing some day. It is REQUIRED!
What a wonderful spring break! I admire you guys for doing such fun things with your family!
Looks awesome! We have never been to Zions but it is right up there at the top of our to-do list! Couple of things:
1. That trail looks crazy! I don't blame you for being nervous! And with your kids too! Ahh! I would have had a heart attack - glad you all lived through it :)
2. We have that same backpack for the little one - it is awesome! It's saved my sanity on many a day when she was younger and I just needed my hands!
3. Beautiful pictures!
You guys are so awesome....and I am so insanely jealous!!
So beautiful. Thanks for another lovely spring break. Arches soon?
Looks so fun, except the part where you hike along cliff edges!
Wow! I can't believe how gnarly those cliffs were. So proud of you and the kids for making it!
What a fun spring break! We went to Red Rock here in Vegas, and it looks a lot the same... kids love exploring! Bet you had fun washing out all that red sand :)
Wow, looks wonderful. I love Southern UT, too. Wish we ever got out there. I'm so proud of the kids! Were they freaked out?
Lu was, but the boys were charging.
