Katy's Trip: Mount Vernon

The day after Harper's Ferry we were going to have Katy take our family pictures at Mount Vernon.  So we got all gussied up, stopped at Target for a few more co-ordinating wardrobe items.  Sadly it was COLD and windy.  So it didn't work out for us that day, which was really a bummer because we don't have one good Christmas card worthy photo of our whole family from the entire year.  But we still had fun, and we still got to take jumping shots, and we got to eat Mrs. Field's cookies, and we got to hang out with the aunties and the Fennimores, so all in all it was a pretty fantastic day.

It was a fun day and as much as I loved Mount Vernon, I really would love to live in the house at Arlington more. Although, the view from the backyard is spectacular. I'm sorry that it was windy, and that the children were freezing without their coats. Next time, we'll have to take a summer family portrait.

Bummer the pictures didn't work out. But I do think those are the most fantastic jumping pictures I've ever seen. So that's good. And it was worth it for the 3rd floor.

Baby goat cheese looks fashionable but freezing.

Yet another great outing.

Too bad for the cold. The boys look happy; Clara looks a bit chilly -- but determined!
