Springfield Illinois, or I Heart Lincoln: Day 2

We had more to see in Springfield so we spent the next morning there as well.  Our first stop was to see the exterior of the Dana Thomas house, a Prairie Style Frank Lloyd Wright house.  I don't love the white brick or Chinese details, but I do love the long lines and deep eaves.  Anyway, fun to see my first FLW house.  Then it was on to the Lincoln museum and Presidential Library.  It was great.  Very informative and interactive exhibits.  A favorite was a modern news show on the election of Lincoln.  Kind of fun to see it put in modern context.  Then we made the pilgrimage to his tomb.  All in all I would say if you love Lincoln, then a stop in Springfield is worth it.  Now I want to go to Indiana to see his childhood home.....see once you start seeing things you just want to see more.

Anybody real in the family photo? The two kids look plastic, but the other three look real.

Not sure. I think some of it is, and some of it is tile.
