Low-Dickie Days Miracle

Long ago my Dad acquired the nickname Dickie (can't remember the exact story of how it came to be).  Anyway, then Will and Steve renamed holidays Dickie Days.  There are the high Dickie Days (Thanksgiving and Christmas) and then the Low-Dickie Days (all the rest).  Anyway, last weekend we had to drive out to Utah at the spur of the moment for a funeral (more on that later).  As luck would have it Maren and Gavin happened to be in Provo, picking up their kids after a long trip to Europe.  And then we discovered that Will and Jamie and Baby A. were going to be in town also.  All at the same time.  And so for the first time in years all the DAT's and SKT's were together.  It was miraculous and grand.  We all had a great time.  And my Dad barbequed about 75 sliders.  Yowser!

It was terrific. A sad reason for a visit (although Grandpa's passing was likely a blessing), but so much fun to be together! I will steal some of your photos.
