6 weeks ago I began a boot camp class. Today was this sessions final day. We have been meeting 5 days a week (MTWTH, and Sat). It has been great. I intended to lose some weight but I have something seriously wrong with my self control gene and ate like crap. No really, I did. Self-sabotage. Next time I should do therapy and boot camp together or something. However, I did get stronger, if not skinnier. I took 2 minutes off my mile !!! I finally got under a 9 minute mile. 8.41 (no Olympian, but hey for an old slow girl, I'll take it). I doubled my plank time, which seems to be my worst thing. I blame 4 kids. Anyway it was really fun and I'm just gonna keep on signing up. My favorite part is the NORMAL women who do it. Not a lot of boob job-uber fancy work out clothes-make up on-decked out women-like at some gyms I've gone to. Just normal women of all shapes and sizes. I love it!

That's awesome. I'm impressed.
If only I were disciplined enough to work out (and eat less)!
So proud! I was told that planking is the best thing for your post baby tummy. The hardest thing ever, but worth it I guess.
Eating is my weakness too!
Good for you! I did 3 25 minute miles on crutches today. Wahoo!
D.
You are seriously impressive. Two minutes off your mile is amazing. I have never understood why ladies get all hotted-up for the gym. Bizarre. And I hear you about the eating thing. A while back, I stopped eating sweets for a very, very brief period (like a week or two). Then I started again, and now I can't stop myself and want dessert with every single meal. What is the deal?
Whitney, I also want a dessert with every single meal. It's a problem. :)
Yay for your bootcamp class! I'm jealous! I can't wait to move somewhere bigger and be around classes like that. You guys look tough.
And thanks for calling out all the make-uped, perfectly coordinated, earring wearing women in the gym. Like especially in Zumba class. Sheesh! I show up with a seriously scary looking face/hair and a ginormous baggy t-shirt. Sometimes I feel a little silly. But they're the silly ones! We're just there to sweat anyways.
And yeah, 2 minutes off your mile?! That's awesome!
