First, it's more than a little hard to believe how fast time is going. I don't remember time going so quickly, when I was young. It must be a law of physics or something. Anyway. Clara is 8! She is 8 and great! She is spunky, kind, smart, curious, cute, talented, and fun. We love her.
For her birthday this year there wasn't a friend party. She got up and got her big present. A bike with gears! (Which she can't change....yet). Then it was off to Mount Rose for some skiing. She was lucky enough to meet up with her pal Stone and they had fun together. Papa was also in town, helping celebrate:
After skiing there was a bike ride down to Saddlehorn Park:
Then off to a late afternoon viewing of this:
Followed by a late dinner at Macaroni Grill:
Late, late, late night present opening.
By the time we got through presents it was way too late for the shake (she didn't want cake), so the following night we made toffee explosion shakes and she blew out the candles. It was a great celebration!

Happy birthday, Clarice! INSANE that she is 8. She's super great, though, and so glad we got to hang out for a day last week. Sad that we live so far away. Also, I want that shake.
I want a bike with gears and skiing for my birthday, hint hint. The younger pictures of Clara in your Taylorsville home remind me how much I miss your family. Happy Birthday Clara
So glad I got to share Clara's special day -- also the toffee explosion!
I feel a real bond with Baby Goat Cheese. I think it was all the time we spent watching airplanes ... or something.
D.
Happy Birthday Clara! I miss your spunk and sass at weekly piano lessons. :)
