A friend of Clara's decided to start a club. And her parents are awesome and helped her plan the Lost Fox Adventure Club. Anyway, the first grand adventure was over Labor Day weekend and Rob took Clara and the boys. The first stop was a museum in Elko:
Clara and Scout (the founder):
That night they camped at Metropolis a town planned and settled by Mormon's who forgot to look into water rights. They wanted it to be the biggest city between Denver and San Francisco. Turns out water is kind of important to town planning. So now it's abandoned.
Either there are potguts or zombies:
They camped in the high school:
The next day they backpacked to a lake in the Ruby Mountains and camped:
By all accounts it was an amazing adventure and I'm glad they got to go. While they were adventuring Lucy and I made a quick trip to Provo to meet Evelyn. It was perfect timing because Katy ended up in the hospital on Sunday with kidney stones and Lucy, Madi, and I got to spend the day with bambino. She's pretty sweet. All in all I think we all had a great Labor Day weekend.

I wondered what the Lost Fox thing was from instagram - that is so cool! I love that that girl wanted to start a club and made it happen. Also, their destinations are super cool. The pics from the metropolis (so weird) are gorgeous. And little Evelyn is adorable. Poor Katy, though.
Love rocks & cliffs and lakes! Looks like a lot of fun!
What a great adventure. And how good you could be here to help Katy!

That adventure club is the coolest thing ever! I love that they camped in the ruins of an abandoned town. Love, love, love that whole idea. Poor Katy! But happy that she has a sweet little babe you got to enjoy.
