A Big Fat November Post

Again in an effort to catch up, mulitple posts all in one.  Someone took a picture of Bella.  She is such a good dog.  I truly wish I could get over my fur aversion.  She is so sweet and loyal and obedient and a good hiking companion.  But her fur is so hard for me.
Kids have been working hard at the piano

Clara's circus class at Wise Fool ended with a fun performance.

Growing out my hair is taking forever and has not been easy.  And so far I've struck out trying to find a new stylist.
What a read!  So well written.
These two represented their school at Model UN.  After the learning curve, they enjoyed it.
Clara's class did a research project on an animal of their choice and "published" books about them.  It culminated in an "author's tea" complete with skits and songs.  Then the kids got to tell us all about their books.  My favorite thing about Clara's book was the dedication page.  Awesome.

For Thanksgiving we had no plans.  Rob had to work so the kids and I were going to take off for Utah, but I felt so bad ditching Rob, because it also meant ditching him for Lucy's birthday too.  And then we discovered that the only ones that would even be at my parents was us.  So we invited them to come here.  Which worked out perfectly because they were here for Santa Fe Prep Grandparent's Day which happened to fall on LJ's birthday. I love Santa Fe Prep.  It's a whole different level of awesome. (many photos stolen from my Dad).

On the Saturday before her birthday Lucy and friends went to dinner and to a movie.  On her actual birthday we went out for Mexican food and then came home and ate brownies and she opened presents.  17!!!!  No really, that is crazy.  She is raised.  And she is awesome.

Whilst my parents were here we grabbed lunch after shopping for an urn for my Mom's ashes.  No really we did that.  I thought she was kidding, but she wasn't.  I still find it hilarious.  Anyway, lots of good places to eat in the town.

And there was a hike at the Dale Ball trails one day.

And a haircut
