So I have to do an election post. I initially was not a Hillary fan and then I started to realize that hating Hillary has been a cottage industry for years and years. And I started reading about all her accomplishments, and her life, and became convinced she was an excellent candidate (electability aside), and that I had drunk the hatehillary kool aid. And so I eagerly voted for her, so excited to vote for a woman.
And then came election night. After going on my girls weekend trip I started to have a sinking feeling that misogyny and Hillary hate were so blinding that Trump might win. And then the results came in and I ransacked the house to find my last Xanax. No really I have never needed a xanax more. I was sick and shaking and freaking out. It was a scary and difficult night. It was so surreal. I talked to friends on the phone all the next day and we were all in shock. It turns out 3 million more people voted for Hillary, but alas....the slave owners created a country where rich white men could keep control back in the day.
There were some events in Santa Fe to help people feel like we could/can still stand up for our values.
I write this on inauguration day. It's a sad day. The ONLY good thing so far to come out of this is the Joe Biden memes. They are oh so good. But not enough to draw us out of our Trumpian Funk.

I love these so much. It's a dark day. I'm going to go see La La Land instead of deal with reality.
What I'm hoping most for is a clear explanation as to how Trump does his hair!
Ha! I've never seen those memes. Pretty great. It's crazy that he won.
