Girl Scout Cookie Season

Girl Scouts is such an amazing organization.  We are enjoying our new little troop.  The Girls went to World Thinking Day which was fun.  And cookie season started.  And I was cookie mom which involves a lot of meeting in parking lots to exchange cookies with strangers, which feels a lot like drug dealing.  It is a tremendous amount of work and Rob was a huge help.  We spent HOURS and HOURS doing the accounting.  Holy smokes.  The season is a couple days shy of ending.  Hooray.

This is our troops entire order.
Clara packaging cookies for her personal orders.

 Booths, booths, and more booths

The most stressful part is ALL THIS MONEY.  Seriously.  I don't like being responsible for all of this.  Stressful.  And this particular day Rob and I spent about 5 hours figuring it all out.

The good news is Clara once again exceeded her goal!  A great program for these girls to learn so many skills.  I guess it makes it worth it.  But I liked it better when I wasn't the cookie mom.

Well done! Do you fund the troop this way, or does it go to national?

Some we keep, some goes to the council, and camps, etc.

Holy moly. I cannot imagine the work that goes into that. You're amazing, as is Clara.

Girl Scouts are the best - glad Clara is having such a great experience. And that's an intense amount of money. And work. Geez...

Glad to hear you got the money figured out!
