In the morning the girl's power posed and then we made our way to the tenemant museum, via some pastries. The Tenement Museum is one of my favorite places in NYC. We did the "modern" tour, with immigrants from the 50's-70's. It was fascinating, as always.
After our tour we went back down and got tickets at the Southstreet Seaport TKTS. Next up was the Brooklyn Bridge. Why why why is everything so much more crowded than it used to be? Oh well. Still cool.
By city hall these guys were wowing the crowds with their moves.
We wandered up to Chinatown for amazing dumplings at Tasty Dumpling. Anytime you can feed four people in NYC for under eight dollars it feels like a miracle. The fact that they are indeed tasty only adds to it. After lunch we went in search of mangosteen but only found the nectar.
And then a stop at Dominque Ansel. I was skeptical the lines would be worth it, but the Kouign Amman is definitely worth it.
We walked up the highline, which was, like the bridge, packed. The #reisisthighline house was amusing. We stumbled onto Hudson Yards and had no idea what it was, only that it was a zoo. Turns out it was the opening day.
We took the subway to Grand Central and walked up to 5th ave and Rockerfellar and St. Patrick's, etc. It was St. Patrick's Day and 5th ave was closed to traffic from the parade. It was grand because we missed the crowds, but got the benefits.
A quick stop at the new American Girl Store. These girl's have happy memories of their dolls.
We ate dinner in Hell's Kitchen at a Thai restaruant. We are so fun.
Pre-play freezing cheesecake picnic.
We saw The Band's Visit, which was so excellent. We all loved it. Unique, interesting, kind, well done, etc.
A most excellent day!

A HUGE day, and excellent indeed. Some fun photos there, especially when enlarged.
A perfect day! Let's do it again.
A perfect day, indeed! I've never been to the Tenement Museum. Sounds as if I need to put it on my list.
