Fall Break: San Francisco Finale

Our last day of fall break we spent in San Francisco and it was a grand day.  We started at the Legion of Honor which has a great perfectly sized collection with several gems:

This Frans Hals is so great:

 Lucy getting a close up:

Next on the agenda was lunch.  We scored!  Found a great Brazillian place in the Mission district.  So delicious:

See what I did there?
Next we trekked to the Mission Dolores which is the original California mission:
On our trek we passed the mint:

I believe he had sweaty palms:

After the mission we went to Fiore, a pretty dang amazing bakery.  I will be going back:

On our way back to the car we saw bits and pieces of the real Blue Angel show, with loop-di-loops and amazing stunts.  Also we passed some really cool second hand furniture stores.  Beautiful stuff:

Such a fun fun fun trip.  Thank you to my Dad for letting me steal pictures.  And I'm so glad they were able to come with us.

Fall Break: Monterey and More

Our day started out with a drive by of John Steinbeck's childhood home in Salinas.  I sure do love Mr. Steinbeck.
Next up was Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium which is always good fun:

The entrance line was kinda long so Lucy braided Tron's hair for him:

One of the funnest parts is watching the sea lions and otters out in the bay:

We stopped at the Carmel Mission, where a wedding was taking place.  I love the California missions.

We then hit the beautiful Point Lobos:

We took a drive through Carmel where not one ugly building exists and enjoyed a beautiful sunset.
