Garden Bounty

Sometimes garden's overwhelm.  But always, they please. (not pictured: more swiss chard than a human could eat in a lifetime, two huge bowls of tomatoes, melons, basil, and enough zucchini to feed the world).

We are finally getting some tomatoes and the green beans are producing more than we can eat in a sitting. Your harvest looks insanely bountiful. You may need to have a special harvest festival even before Thanksgiving.

Wow - that is amazing! You must be doing something right! We didn't get quite the harvest we would have hoped for but I don't know what we expected when we only weeded maybe twice! We did have a yummy chicken noodle soup the other night with carrots from our garden. They were tiny but tastey! We'll try again next year :-)

Wahoo! Congratulations...and very impressive. I'm jealous. Our little sq' gardens weren't as prolific as the book promised. Alas.

Impressive. We should do better. All I have going now are a few mostly dead pineapple tops!

How fun!! Look at all those veggies! We have a tangerine tree and a banana tree right outside our kitchen, we need to take advantage of it more.

Looks great! So, since it looks like you had a successful tomato harvest, I have a question for you. A couple of our tomatoes are turning red... red enough that we are thinking its time to pick them... but they are still fairly small (compared to most of what you see in the store...) We are thinking its just because we got started late and since its turning cold, the tomatoes are just trying to produce fruit... Anyways, do you think its ok to pick them?

Hey Anna, I'm catching up with your blog. So wierd - I had your blog saved to my desktop and would check it and it looked like you had abandoned it since springtime. Now I see I didn't save your page correctly and you've been posting all this time. I've missed out on a lot. You went to DC! Seeing your pictures made me nostalgic. I hope you guys are doing well. I guess I'm going to miss you for the holidays since you're going to Hawaii. Well, now that I see you are posting, I'll tune in more often!
