Last week my parents came for a visit. It was great fun to have them. We celebrated my Mom's birthday and they helped us hang pictures (or we helped them hang pictures), ran errands, and saw some of the sights:
We enjoyed the fake food at the furniture stores:
We ran errands. Hooray for TJ's being only 10 minutes away:
Walked along the Truckee in downtown:
Enjoyed Clara's mullet and cross eyes:
Admired Grammy getting ready:
Collected giant pine cones and enjoyed the wintry weather at Tahoe (like I mentioned before, what a difference a week makes!):
And did a quick drive by of the tiny Reno temple which is in the middle of a depressingly ugly neighborhood and is so tiny I find it rather blah:
Anyway, it was great to have them and we look forward to many more visits from them!

We had such a great time and can hardly wait to come again. When I retire next year, we will bug you to death.
By the by, the photo of Mount Rose from your front yard is spectacular. Your yard looks (is) wonderful.

P.S. By ugly neighborhood, you don't mean the sage brush, etc., you must mean the houses. The hilltop with its natural flora is great. That's why the picture without houses.

I got cold just looking at the Tahoe pix. Anxious to come for a visit. Funny, our temple also sits above a poor housing area.
Brr, it looks cold! Exciting about TJ being so close! Can't wait to come visit.
Fun, fun, fun! Jealous about TJs. Ha ha, we always have my parents help us hang pictures too. I dread the day when I will have to do it all by myself!
how fun! you'll have to post some pictures of your house when you get it all set up. i love the picture of clara watching your mom get ready. sophie was the exact same way with my mom when she was here. these grandmas sure are good sports. :)
I love it! Reno looks beautiful. I'm so glad things are going so well. We need to actually talk one of these days. It does look cold, though. And I love Clara's mullet.

and i'm jealous of your trader joes!! i have a recipe that calls for trader joe's peanut sauce and i always have to fake something else for that sauce. maybe one of these days i'll send you some money to pick it up and ship it to me. ha! :)
