Spring Break Part 5: St. John the Divine, Circle Cruise, Matilda

Our Wednesday started with breakfast with the Fennimore's at Metro Diner.  Sadly the Fennimores had to go home for a big piano thing.  It sure was fun to share our vacation with them.  We should do it more often.  Anyway, breakfast was tasty and after we said our goodbyes Sharon, Jennette's mother-in-law treated us to a private tour of St. John the Divine cathedral where she is a docent.

After the tour we walked up the block and cut through Columbia University:

Our city pass included a Circle Line Cruise of Manhattan.  It was a cold day so it was nice to have a tour of the city inside the boat, where it was warm.  The tour was interesting and enjoyable.

The tour goes under the Brooklyn, Manhattan, and Williamsburg bridges:

After the tour we walked back to Hell's Kitchen and found a good Italian place.  We were a little sad to discover the great neighborhood full of good restaurants a block from our apartment so late in our trip.  Oh well.  Now we know:
We had tickets to Matilda and after dinner we walked to the theatre.  We loved it.  It was such a fun show.  The Trunchbull was awesome.  So glad we splurged on this:

Your children are lucky ducks, but they deserve it: they appreciate all you do. It makes it all worthwhile.
