California Trip: Sea World

On Monday we ignored our consciences and went to Sea World.  It was hot and crowded and not as amazing as remembered.  I think due to public outcry they have toned down the shows so they are kind of meh, and you just sit there and feel guilty that you are watching animals in a pool that are meant to swim hundreds of miles a day.  And the rides were mostly shut down.  So it was funnish, but there will be no more trips to Sea World, methinks.

This may have been the most interesting thing we saw all day.  Natural?  Implants?  Mysterious.

For the dolphin show these two wanted to sit in the soak zone, so ventured off on their own.  They were pretty mad they didn't get soaked.

I think this picture sums up how we all felt by the end of the day:
Although this crew was happy they finally got to ride the Atlantis coaster (after waiting an hour for it to start back up)

The day was redeemed by the most delicious meal at Embargo, a nearby Cuban restaurant.

I'm having really major fomo. Sad that Sea World was sort of a bust - I remember loving it. But then Blackfish sort of ruined it.

Yea! You got some great pics! Yes, Sea World definitely seemed better the last time I went. At least we got it out of our systems.
