Janurary was mostly about the food. Snow and food. We got Rob a smokeless grill for Christmas so we can enjoy yakitori and yakiniku. Rob has become quite the Japanese cuisine expert.
I made Cornish Pasty. Need to try it again with a few tweaks. Good, but not good enough.
Clara and I made a delicious lilikoi tart. Seriously my favorite flavor.
Anders and Clara built a GIANT snowman that stuck around almost a month!
Lucy had to go back to school. Her journey back was complicated by snow in DC and losing her camera. After spending the night in Dallas she made it home Sunday night. And Monday was a snow day. Her luggage arrived late late late on Monday night. Her camera was recovered and sent to her a few weeks later. Phew.
The boys skiied (so did Rob and Clara, just not a lot of pics).
And more food glorious food. Attempted an Indian food feast. Wasn't half bad at all.
Our first attempt at swiss meringue buttercream.
Lemon cake
Chocolate raspberry
My spin bike arrived and Anders put it together for me
Tucker became our official food photographer
We babysat Bean who is the most energetic dog in the history of dogs and could not get enough of playing catch. She makes Bella look bad. Bella is an old old lady.

Your bakes are wonderful, and I am so interested in your pasties. I need to get back on the horse.
Sad Lubert's trip back was traumatizing. But the food looks amazing. I'll be moving in shortly.
