December

As usual December flew by.  We said goodbye to Lucy and my parents (this pretty sunset happened while they were here).
And went and picked up our trees.  We usually go up to Valles Caldera to get fresh trees but they weren't selling this year and this was way more convenient.  The kids even got taco bell before, so it was all good.
Clara made these mini Victoria Sponges...

And ciabbatta.

Boys got the tree lights on, a thankless task, girls cooked.  We are so traditional.

And had our annual light the tree dinner party.  It was delish with a new to us, Hasselback potatoes.

The trees got done up.

We had a skiff of snow, but enough for this fella to be made.

Clara had her last elementary school Winter Concert.  It was the night Lucy flew home.  We had snow that day. She flew into Santa Fe, and the roads were icy and we were glad there was no driving to ABQ.  We met up all together at Atrisco's for a late welcome home dinner.  Then Lucy put her ornaments on the tree.

Biannual event.
One day whilst boys were skiing we cooked up a storm.

And that night we had our first annual welcome back from college Christmas dinner.
The gang was reunited for dishes sessions to Toto's Africa.
Made these scrummy passionfruit eclairs.  So delicious.

Made meringues.  Also delish.

And this bread.
Girls danced it off.
